Today I bring a very interesting project for those who like to make the odd little job of carpentry. With hammer and nails in hand, we do a modern wooden shelves ideal for any room in the home.

It’s really easy to make and modern style makes it ideal for the living room to the bedroom or office. Surely you will find the ideal place.

Here’s how to do this ledge warm contemporary style.

Materials

  • Saw
  • Drill
  • Square combination
  • Tables 1 4 “x 8″ x 4″
  • Screws 1 “flat head stainless steel
  • Wood glue
  • Suspension System

Step by step

With a table saw, you cut a red oak boards 1 “x 8″ x 4″ and 30″ long, this piece will be used as the back piece of the ledge or shelf.

Then you have to cut the other three red oak boards 24″ long, these are the shelves.

Next is to place the table that will support on the floor, shelves and file make sure you are right with the combination square.

Where will mark the shelves and make the holes and then join the tables with screws.

When you finish making the holes, you apply a drop of wood glue on the back edge of the shelves where it will play the piece and then tighten the screws.

How to Build Modern Wooden Shelves

To finish you must put the suspension system on the back shelf and hanging where they like.

An easy project that you can customize how you like one and will surely give an original touch to your home.
